My favorite release is probably Noto's "[infinity symbol]" either the 2x10" lock groove edition or the CD... in the case of the CD, it's brief digitally created sounds (like 68 of them i think) created in an attempt to emulate environmental sounds of electronic orgin (fax machines, modems, etc).. I think that was the concept. Anyway it's really good, like Mego only much 'cleaner' (less static, etc). I also really like the Goem CD titled 'stud_stim'. All the sounds were generated from a device called a student stimulator, which is used to help studying students. It's really bizzare minimal techno, good. This is on the Noton sublabel (incidentaly run by noto), which is a bit different than the raster label proper. The rastermusic releases often have more 'substance', i suppose, as opposed to minimalism. Kinda out there electro mixed with vauge pop elements/influences.. everything i've heard on both labels is ace and i wouldn't hesitate to pick up any of their stuff.
