In re: The Toshok compilation, I will second the recommendation since it was last mentioned a few days ago. Very simple and undersated packaging ( nice!) , a well tossed *variety* of sounds keeping the interest up, *clean* recording and long-ish ( just under 74 mins. ) Well fucking done. I wonder if the title is a tongue in cheek stab at the ever so self confident " Timeless". A friend of mine was going to do a bad d + b record and call it " Dated". probably no connection, In re: Hrvatski 12"s at $375.00.....( shakes head, grins, smiles...) In re: another comp I think was mentioned but I'm not sure on the idm comp: Elektronische Musik Aus Buenos Aires- also highly recommended and a little bit more for idm "purists"- i.e not as varied. Really good though. In re: RZA- he *did* set many new standards for Hip Hop production and I think the point was made that " Enter 36 Chambers" is * still* great. However, I'll 2 cent that he is overrated. Perhaps this is more journalistic hyperbole, advertising and promotion busy at work as well. In re: Augustus Pablo's death; as a reggae fan, I did the sentimental thing and replayed many beautiful classics of Mr. Pablo in respect for him. Seek those in print. Most of them still are, at least on CD and perhaps even in vinyl given an abundant distribution of still in print "classic" reggae. Anything up to '85 is pretty flawless, esp the Tubby releases. Yeah I know, *not* idm......sorry sorry blah blah blah. In re: Wells(come) back, wells.
