This is such baloney. "Song writing" and muso pretensions have turned d 'n'
b into sort of joke. I'm listening to Goldie's "Timeless" right now and
while I am enjoying the hell out of it, I can't go for long without
grimacing or laughing at some of its bizarre indulgences; divas, synth wash,
jazzy keys and Pat Metheny guitar solos jammed against Apache breaks! What
in the hell? Just the idea of "Saturnz Return" sends shivers up my spine. 


And I'm certainly waiting for some Optical party tunes to come out ;-)
