This is such baloney. "Song writing" and muso pretensions have turned d 'n' b into sort of joke. I'm listening to Goldie's "Timeless" right now and while I am enjoying the hell out of it, I can't go for long without grimacing or laughing at some of its bizarre indulgences; divas, synth wash, jazzy keys and Pat Metheny guitar solos jammed against Apache breaks! What in the hell? Just the idea of "Saturnz Return" sends shivers up my spine.
