a friend of mine said sticking your cd's in the freezer works.
i tried it, but stuck it in a freezer bag first. needless to say, it
didn't work, so i ended up replacing my delerium cd, but i don't know
if it only failed because of the freezer bag.
i've also heard about getting a cd refinished, costing about $3-5,
but i don't know where you could get that done...

Can anyone advise me on getting rid of surface scratches on compact
disks? Are there any products available or any tricks to polishing marks
out?

I made the mistake of loaning a few favourites to a friend for a party,
only to have a couple returned unplayably scratched on the read side.
aaargh! :-(
