What is the current rating for the 9VAC adaptor? It=E2=80=99s easy enough to solder a 3mm jack to a 9VAC adaptor, but if = it can=E2=80=99t handle the current draw of an HR16 then you=E2=80=99ll = have troubles. It=E2=80=99s fine to be overrated, although that will = probably cost more, but you can=E2=80=99t go below. Also, with AC adaptors, there=E2=80=99s often a wide range in actual = voltage versus measured voltage. Not sure what to do about that unless = someone has an HR16 supply they can measure with a known (Fluke 87 RMS) = meter.
