Obviously, the people who talk about it. I don't really care about those
subjects, and I rarely post to wide threads like those, but I respect the
people who do want to discuss them (if the threads are in fact,
IDM-related). Even if people spew obscenities and ego-boosts back and
forth, the delete button takes care of it in several seconds. Yes, I do
wish that more of the traffic on this list was of the more intelligent
variety, but I accept (while ignoring and deleting) the threads I could
care less about.

I find that the digest works well with dealing with this. I find that when
I'm on a list
that gets too much to deal with ( negativity, baiting, challenges, mistaken
communication )
I feel the digest approach works wonders. You just open the digest, hold
down the vertical scroll
and RIP!

Much kinder than getting shot in the face with bullshit every 1-2 hours
( or whenever you read email ).

I love this list....with all of it's problems and BS, I love this list.
Suggestions on how to make it better are important and ,of course, should
be regarded.
However, trying to impose a collective concensus to get along and/or
represent intelligence,
as in life, is quite difficult if not, impossible.

Sometimes the list is great, sometimes it sucks.
At times, brilliance and intelligence raise their shy heads and everything
is kicking right!

It's like...
life in general?

Now back to IDM type matters ( since I kicked in my excessive political,
social BS...there *is*
music to talk about. )
For those that remember: in NYC: Andy (VVM ) and Speedranch from
Manchester *will*
be in town during 11/11 to 11/21. Andy and Speed will be spinning and
representing some
unspun white labels and new stuff from many digs , including SKAM .

They will be dj'ing at Abstrakt in the Lower East Side ( Orchard St. ? ) on
Tuesday the 11th.
This will be late, and stands only partially confirmed. On the 18th, the
following week, they
are solidly and definitely confirmed.
I *believe* this party is FREE.

Any NYCers in touch with a guy named Neil who does parties at The Den of
Thieves?
I had a lead but lost him.

There is also a chance of another East Coast show, but I'm waiting for
further contact.
I'll keep y'all posted if anything comes up.

And word has it of a possible Bay Area show.

And I hear they have a So Cal lead for later in the year.

Anyways, the list. This list works like a pendulum. I just wait until
the day when the list is
doing realy realy well and we're all intelligent and getting along and a "
Will everyone please
stop being so intelligent and stop getting along. " thread ensues.

np: Hassell/Eno: 4th World, Volume 1, Possible Musics
nxt: Erick Sermon: Double or Nothing ( with Redman...combo extraordinaire )
still in my head from last night: Journeyman: National Hijinx
