Erm, not sure what you mean by 'caberet' but I saw Matt Herbert twice a long time ago. Once as Wishmountain and once as Dr. Rockit. The first time, the Wishmountain performance was the best. He came on stage, very dapper in a 3 piece suit, and performed as far as I could tell completely live. He had a partner sat at the side of the stage working a sampler. Herbert was playing kitchin implements, cameras, radios and suchlike, and his playing was sampled and looped by the chap at the electronics. The second time at the Big Chill in the Union Chapel, was a Dr. Rockit show. Matt was wheeled on stage in one of those hospital person wheely devices, wearing full surgical gear. He the proceeded to play the wheely device, banging the metal bits, scratching on the sheets, and mucking about with a stethoscope. This show didn't appear to be as live as the first one, it ws more like he was playing along with backing tapes. Both shows were very enjoyable though, I wouldn't hesitate to go see him if you have the chance. CheerioAndrewC.
