if applied to video games, though, this is true, i reckon.  how can anyone
who grew up with atari and coleco and nes look at playstation or n64 with the
same sort of love?? maybe the point has been lost in the technology..?  altho
super smash brothers is pretty nice! =)

also cspot may have a point.. some things are starting to get tiring in the
idm world?

but.... actually i was talking to a friend about this sort of thing recently
and we decided: things weren't actually better back then; it's just that we
remember the best of what happened and forget the worst. so when we look back
on the 90s it's possible they'll actually have a distinct attitude in our
mind, like the 80s and 70s etc, and not just be remembered as a stupid period
full of abused technology (least of which is idm probably).
