Wow... Wow.

Am I insane for thinking the Lexaunculpt MP3s totally blow the 12" off the
frigging map?

I was listening to the 12" last night and it was pleasant, like a piece of
abstract art that is soothing but a bit shallow. Then I fired up my machine
and started in on the MP3s. Total shift...it was full of emotion, and
nothing like the slab o' wax.

The 3'22" track was the most stand-out. It starts off brutally, like being
hit with a feeling of utter hopelessness and pain, then the peaceful,
soulful melody reveals itself slowly...not unlike a stripper, yet with far
more inner beauty.

It seriously brought back feelings of loss I've had to deal with recently,
and brought me some peace. It totally caught me by surprise--IDM isn't
supposed to be this soulful. ;]

If future releases have this emotional charge, I'd say the SoCal hype is
warranted. Orange certainly has my attention.
