Am I the only one that thinks that 4hero are about the
most-overhyped tossback "I can't admit that Stevie Wonder signed my
undies" sheeite the other side of Davenport, Rhode Island? I saw 'em at
Popkomm and ended up crawling back behind the equipment and going to sleep
'cos I didn't have anywhere to stay that night (Damn me for not even
checking with my friends before I just decided to show up in Koln, I
guess). Whatever.

Oh-- n' on another note entirely-- and I know this hurts since
most of the people on this list would swallow the worms out of every
tequila bottle they've sucked down not to have to associate themselves
with those damn indie-kids that look so goddamn cute-n-happy all the time
by even so much as glancing sideways at something on Up records
--but swallowing a little pride (and the worms, don't forget the worms)
and checking out the Pastels Remixed CD on Up might be worth anybody's
while who is a purveyor of serious CHEEEEESE. Just do it for the Mouse on
Mars, Stereolab, 'n John McEntire tracks alone. Dear god.

Straddling the indie fence and liking it
