Well I happen to like Aphrodite. I have seen him spin twice and he
really can get a party moving. I have never attended a rave that
featured any of the "IDM artists," so I don't know how danceable their
sets are. Not that they need to be for dancing, but if your'e in the
mood to get your groove on, I think Aphrodite is great.

I think this is a totally false assumption. I'd say I'm more into the
IDM material, but that doesn't necessarily mean that I will dislike this
kind of drum n bass. It's all about balance. After listening to some
mental tracks by Ae or Squarepusher, I like to throw on the new Photek or
a Pulp album for example.

How the hell is this a bandwagon? I'm actually very surprised that it's
taken this long for such a cd to come out. The ties between Hip-hop and
jungle are very strong, and it's about time that people in the states
that like hip-hop are exposed to electronic music. Also, I think IDM
artists utilizing the skills of an MC would be really cool. Take for
example the 2nd track off of "Big Loada." Now I know the MC isn't the
main crux of the song, but I really like the way they go together. Plus
there would be limitless possibilities for fucking with a rapper's voice
and turning it into something totally different (e.g. mu-ziq's "Lunatic
Harness")

I've already got those albums. The 2nd Logical disc is what got my
interested in this type of jungle in the first place. I respect your
opinion, but I don't see why your reply had to be a "let's give this guy
a beginner's guide to drum n bass lecture."
