The ninja's did an outstanding job on Friday. I liked neotropic,
but i thought Vadim and Herbaliser were the most entertaining. Riz of
Neotropic was very friendly and told me that there was a second ninja
tour planned for September featuring Amon Tobin (AKA Cujo), Funki
Porcini, and DJ Food. That sounds like much more dancier lineup (too bad
she didn't say Coldcut!).
The visuals were great, especially having cameras rigged up to
the turntables helped in seeing the Dj's skills. Also liked the cool
shirts they were selling for $16. A lot of the kids there didn't enjoy
the ninja stuff and went outside for the sorry ass house shite.
The venue was pretty cool as well, it reminded me of the bat cave
or something.

On a different note, here are some recent cds everyone should check out
if you haven't already:

1. Cornelius - "Fantasma" - Japanese artist who is heavily influenced by
Squarepusher and Aphex. Track number 10 is reminisent of the crazyness
of the tracks on Big Loada.

2. Tortoise - "TNT" - Great instrumental album. Best description would
be if Spooky became a band with acoustic instruments.

3. Blur - "Bustin N' Dronin'" - The first disc is all remixes, most of
which are great. Standout tracks are William Orbit's 16 minute overhaul
of "On Your Own" and the Tortoise mix of "Theme From Retro."
