I had a Jupiter 8 for a decade and a half and sold it. The bass sounds
were nice, but not that much nicer than a Juno-60, and everything else
about it was unexciting to me. And somebody wanted to give me $8500 for
it, and that sounded nice. Don't get a Jupiter-8.

> OB-X

This one's on my own dream list. I'm pretty sure you won't regret it.
I have an OB-8 with the Jurgen Haible square wave mod and Encore midi
now, and using it just makes me dream of an OB-X. (I think I'd still
keep my OB-8 though even if I got one.)

> Memorymoog

I keep thinking the Memorymoog ought to sound like so much more than it
sounds like in demos. I've never had the chance to play one, but in
demos, it just sounds like Moog screwed up so bad using Curtis
oscillators. The filters ought to compensate for that somewhat, but
they don't.

> Prophet 5

Funny you mention this one... I've never had a Pro-One, but I think I
might get one sometime this year. Seems like some dark creamy pads and
basses ought to be very possible, and that's what I live for.

I wouldn't blame you for either one of these. Probably should have kept bo=

I've you're going to pay that much, do the OB-X. It's so worth it.
Also don't forget the PPG Wave 2.3...another one on my dream list.
