Haven't run into this myself, but got the latest negativland mailing the other day regarding this... its pretty frightening to think that this is occurring and it seems all too relavent to the music we listen to... No offensive, but (I know you're out there!) do the Ninja's pay for all those samples? Its pretty scary thinking that DJ <insert name here>'s next record might not be what it had been intended to because of something like this... Also, I've read bits where Nothing (in regards to Coil, but probably Vibert's material, and possibly more) have been nothing but struggle trying to get stuff cleared. I recall some bit where the Coil that will be re-released by Nothing will not be the same because of editting due to samples... I've no actual facts to back it up, but what if something like that was true? Nothing like the land of the free, huh? Go America! (hehehehe... realize that people should get paid for their work, but the RIAA and pressing plants not pressing material due to pressure seems extremely... extreme...) ^xxxx@xxxxx.xxx^ [icq: 12645306] http://www.sonic.net/~brap/ [blackdog][v/vm][jamesbernarddiscography]...etc etc etc sfwd.dyn.ml.org [occasional web.irc.ftp.etc]]] chris g. 1547 boston court #7, santa rosa, ca 95405
