Quite a lovely surprise with dreamy futuristic synth lines over sharp beats. And the vocals are in no way intrusive. >METRO mixed CD >There is a Metro mix cd out this week, I assume it is >mixed by Matrix. Sounds really good. Well, the mixing is not that remarkable. Matrix just sort of blends one song into another. He doesn't do a bad job, but he does it so that the mix is pretty unnoticeable. Admittedly, I only listened to it in the store, and didn't buy it, but I wasn't all that impressed. But bear in mind that I don't like compilations in general, so my opinion may not be the most reliable in this instance. The two Optical tracks were pretty good though, especially the one remixed by Ed Rush & Optical. I would rather have had just those two tracks on a 12". What I did like was the new Polar album on Certificate 18. Very nice stuff, with some excellent production. If you like the Fallen Angels album you might want to check it out. Not the same but somewhat similar in spirit on some tracks. My favorite being 'One and only'. Oh, and the new Smokey Joe on Smokers Inc. is great. Just the thing to blast in your car while zooming down the road. Love those evil basslines. David
