First off, I'll be nitpicky here. It's a TB-303. And many who are familiar
with electronic music know the sound of a 303. It's not hard to, since it's
one of the most abused sounds out there. (I still love the 303 though BTW).

Sure. I love the Moog modulars too. But the Microwave is COMPLETELY
different. If you were familiar with the architechure of the Microwave you'd
know that it doesn't set out to be anything like a Moog modular. It's a
totally different concept. The Microwave excels at harsh, metalic digital
noises, and this is what it was designed for. It's no less of a machine,
it's just different.

different != worse.

And on the 808 tip, it's pretty simple. If you want something close to the
808 sound, get one of the many software or hardware emulations. If you want
the real deal, get it.

ObIDM: I started out on Solar X with Alternative Frequencies 3, and the new
CD is really great. I'm feeling rather fond of the "new acid" sound lately,
in effect on the AFX/TJ song on WAP100, Chaos AD remixes and this CD.
