The Warp/EMI connection for one. Aphex gets better distribution and publicity than No-U-Turn. Greater exposure often (although not always) means greater sales. Also, there are spots where lots of different musics cross over. It's called common ground and it's what your pop CDs were made for. Lots of people on this list have a common ground of Aphex/Autechre/Squarepusher.
