i just got two 12"s on elf cut records (one capitol K 12" and one which i
can't remember at the moment), and mark my words, they will be the next
SKAM. limited records, nice packaging, groundbreaking music, and a
mysterious "where did this come from" appeal....

that's strange. inside my capitol K record was a piece of white paper with
a circle printed on it the exact size of the 12" center label. if you look
closely it looks like it's written in arabic (hence the title of one of the
tracks "arab"). and instead of a piece of paper with the song titles
listed, i got a large weird looking zip-lock[tm] bag with little pieces of
paper in it, on each piece of paper was a different track title, artist
names, release title, and some other stuff... and also a elf cut records
business card is enclosed with one side stamped with the elf cut logo...
really nice packaging.,.,.,

yeah, i haven't seen packaging so strange since the v/vm frames for
reference records...

and just for the record, Capitol K is putting out his full length release on
Planet Mu (mike paradinas's label) pretty soon, so if you want this 12" get
it now...

i haven't heard stuff that actually reminded me why i started listening to
idm in the first place in a while... and putting the elf cut records on
brings a smile to my face. the whole schematic/chocolate industries sound
has gotten as stale as petrified bread.

so i ran into a problem yesterday:

a Sharp machine experienced frequent L-4's and possible blurred copies.
uhm:: Sharp tried to mod their drive packs but I tried that version before
they did > didn't work. The best solution is to replace the old 2035 drive
pack with a new one from the 2040. Just swap the drum drive gear, complete
harness ass'y, and the paper feed drive pulley from the old one. A
significant reduction in drag will help aleviate this problem. You can also
try placing a washer of the appropriate diameter between the metal plate and
the transport bed (in the center position) of the DM-11 if it has one. Fresh
Lychees # 1!!! Just make sure that it sits on the screw post not around it.
If you still have L-4's, then the motor is probably weak and needs
replacement. and don't forget to true the scanning rod..,.,.,.,

i am a copier.
                                           we are not all copiers.
