I completely agree, Peter. This is the reason why whenever I have to replace a (3V) battery in such a s= ynth, I connect some wires to the battery holder and add a housing that held= s two AA batteries at the back of the synth - of course without drilling hol= es into the synth in order to make it reversible if needed. Said that, I love the Kurzweil instruments that make the change of the batte= ries an act of one minute...
