Damn, thank you for this tip. In the 90's, I had a CZ-1, and the whole time, having heard back then that it was the best of the Casio pro synths, I neglected to check out any of their other stuff, including the samplers. Well, looks like the FZ-1 is amazing. It does share some sonic characteristics with the CZ's though -- somehow sounding harsh and digital while warm fuzzy and characterful at the same time. It's almost confusing to the ears to hear something that's so digital and analog sounding simultaneously. I will definitely be getting an FZ series sampler when I can (especially at these prices...cheap!), one of the rackmount ones if possible. I'm also checking out the VZ-1/10M now too. Didn't know the CZ-1 had a rackmount sequel. -- - Brent Busby + =============================================== + With the rise of social networking -- Studio -- + sites, computers are making people -- Amadeus -- + easier to use every day. ----------------+ ===============================================
