A long time ago in an IDM archive far, far away, Denise The Puckered One wrote: > I've been trying to find releases by XYPHAX (Lui Krueger), and all I was able > to come up with is the track on "Dream Injection 2". > Can anyone enlighten me a little more??? Tonight I had reason to ask this same question. I looked in my own IDM archives and only found 2 references to Xyphax; a track on "Dream Injection 2" and also a track on "Dream Injection 3" as well. I'm replying 9 months later because last weekend I bought a neat German compilation of (mostly) Drum n' Bass stuff called "vorsprung durch drum & bass" on the Sub Terranean (division of Euro Media) label, released late last year. I bought it because it had a lot of the usual suspects: Rob Halford & Goldie, DJ Rap, Ed Rush & Nico, Dom & Optical, Jacob's Optical Stairway, Omni Trio, Squarepusher, Photek, DJ Krust, Jonny L and others. But what blew me away the most on these 2 CDs (nice fold-out cover and graphics, too) were the non-big names: one being Xyphax ("Treplec" - "licensed from Westcom GMBH"), as well as a Chaos & Julia Set track ("Learn To Fight" - goddamn, can Mark Pritchard do no wrong? Where the phuque do I find Chaos & Julia Set output) and somebody else called Intense ("First Contact" - "licensed from Vibe'z"). So I repeat PUCKERED1's previous plea: Anyone know more about this Lui Krueger person and their Xyphax project? Or Intense? (Sorry if this is more Breaks list than IDM list related) ObIDM: Also kicking my ass is the first CD of "State Of The Nu-Art 2". But damnit, why'd they have to ruin it with the lame Rap tracks? Arggh. Maybe CD 2 will be different ... - Greg
