I'm waiting for the US domestic version, which should be out next month.
The import copies I'm seeing are way overpriced.

In the meantime, I bought the 2nd "Star Chaser" single, which has mixes by
Photek, DJ Spinna, & Shawn J Period. The Photek mix is pretty minimal -
vocals, percussion that never reaches d&b intensity, a short organ chord
stab that's used percussively not melodically, and subtle synth whooshes.
The snare is more of a side stick than a snare. Makes me want to hear the
original so I can figure out what he did. The Spinna mix sounds like one
of my mid-70's thrift store soul records - very straightforward bass & beat
w/ mellow synth noodlings on top. The Period remix is of "The Action", and
is a laidback rap track w/ a synth solo towards the end. Sorry, didn't buy
the 1st "Star Chaser" because one track was the album version, and the mix
by 4Hero had the word "Vocal" in the title so I passed on it.

It looks like a simple substitution cipher, which is easy to break by
decoding the short words and working from there. I remember in 4th grade
these girls thought they'd protect the notes they passed by encoding them
w/ a substitution cipher. They were really pissed that it took me 5
minutes to decode one of their notes. To tell you the truth I don't pay
much attention to liner notes, so I haven't bothered to crack this one.

On a side note, I've spotted a disturbing trend. The Star Chaser singles
are both really short - the one I bought is 16 minutes. Last month I seem
to remember Kier of The Dog Squad expressed regret at having to reduce the
latest Black Dog single to 20 minutes to allow it to chart. It seems
whatever bunch of idiots is in charge of the charts in the UK has reduced
the allowable length of a single to 20 minutes. So CD buyers can look
forward to paying more per minute of music. Sounds like a conspiracy by
the majors, and the independents have to play along if they hope to chart
(very important for most records). Fucking greedhead assholes. I really
enjoyed those singles that were as long as a typical Kraftwerk album - they
made CDs cost effective.

Does this mean that a 40minute track like "Blue Room" wouldn't track? Or
does it have to be split across 2 singles?
