Vertical Form takes its concentration of dancefloor
based atmospherics and club orientated electronics
into yet another unpredictable direction by temporarily drawing away from=20
the more DJ orientated material than
that of its previous releases. For this third release, we
present the work of lo-fi experimentalist =8CPub=B9, one of
the founder members of the ultra low key Glasgow
based =8CAmpoule=B9 collective.

The =8CPub=B9 sound is something derived and formed as a
result of a multitude of completely live and improvised
studio sessions, with a unique direction in sound and
feel developed from the input of a variety of inventive,
experimental and unique production techniques applied
during live mixes and therefore playing part in creating
an ultimate piece of sound and groove research.

The sound itself is a format in its own right, a type of
structure and form of groove, with no set rules as to
where the groove can or cannot end up or can eventually
take the listener. With compositions flowing endlessly
without any obvious start or stop points to the sequences, the direction=20
and flow constantly changes and re-invents
itself drawing the listener captive into a heavily complex,
inventive yet accessible body of work.

The original version of =8CSummer=B9, is a masterfully and
beautifully crafted sixteen minute long epic sound journey,
which delves deeply into the blissed, melodic almost aquatic
side of atmospherics and electronics. By fusing together
heart moving melodies alongside carefully and expertly
placed vocal snatches and delayed, compressed sound
formations, the groove develops into a beautifully shaped
piece, that produces quite unique and special results.

The B-Side of the project provides a stunning reconfiguration
by Helsinki based Vladislav Delay, widely known for his works
on Sigma Editions, Chain Reaction, Max Ernst and Force Inc/
Mille Plateaux. As the original composition was recorded
completely live; absolutely no sound sources, samples or
sequences were provided whatsoever and the reconfiguration
was composed entirely as Delay=B9s own vision of certain
thought provoking and unique elements of the original. By
turning and recalculating this musical vision back into a
completely new groove, the initial detailed melodic elements
of the original are restructured in a much deeper, crisp and
more experimental direction. In total, the piece lasts over
eighteen minutes, with a number of differing structural and
textural changes continuously added and withdrawn at varying
stages of the groove=8Cs development keeping the depth and
feel continually fresh without ever losing direction.

To conclude, the project offers over 34 minutes of music,
inventive and innovative in every possible form. Future
electronics that incorporates the complexities of sound and
audio research in parallel to a knowledge of groove and
funk, each of which are expertly executed in a format that is
completely unique, fresh and most importantly abstract in
an accessible and relateable format.
