in concept, i can see where you're coming from, but you have to think
about it from the perspective of the labels. If you're v/vm and you've
been doing loads of great tracks, and have 'em lying around on dats in
your bedroom.. you've got just about enough dough together to press up
another record. WHY would you want to rerelease tracks that are
two/three years old when you can put out brand spankin new material??
I mean, look at Skam, they have at least a half dozen releases scheduled
(freeform, bola, gescom remixes, pbo, takeshi, while, andre estermann,
etc.) and even now it's unlikely that we'll see much of this material for
months. Why would they further delay the schedule by investing the time
and money it would take to repress lego feet?? AFAIK, Mask 3 has been
pressed up for a few months, and it still hasn't seen release (and it
doesn't help that skam's been dropped from RTM... err.. now vital) I'm
sure that the artists WANT this music to be heard, but they can't
possibly afford it.
Take, for example, Rephlex, a couple years ago, the Joyrexes and
Indicators were only pressed up in limited #s.. Why do you think it took
so long? Now that phlex has enough money, they can afford to repress them
(well, compile them for cd release...)

as for you (or anyone, for that matter) putting up the money for a lego
feet/vvm repress...
I say GO FOR IT. of course, you'd probably have to contact 'em about it
first.. ;-)
