hmm.. differing tastes. see, i think for me, im excited to see idm-ish
stuff move towards the more noisey/abstract/dark/nonsense of early
industrial.

the v/vm stuff, overall, tends to not be all that.. BUT they touch upon
some real moments that i really really respect and enjoy.. and really, im
quite into the whole DIY thing.

really, to be on opposite sides of gil, i like the fact that the emphasis
on standard "structure" witin IDM tracks is going away (though the whole
drill and bass thing tends to annoy me)..

but, really, im just into noise and dark atmospheres..
so take my opinion for what its worth.

hmm..
i guess. i have insane respect for alex, and he produces some of the best
stuff i have heard... in fact, i have a wonderful cdr of some drone stuff
he did. quite the talented fellow. but its comparing 2 different things
really.

you picked up some of the noisiest idm stuff around, stuff that has very
little structure.. and then try to compare it to stuff that is super
structured and complex..

its like saying "what the fuck is up with this
country shit? really its nothing like that michael jackson i just
bought.. but what the fuck? they were both in the pop section."

just because something is labeled "idm" doesnt mean you have to rush out
and buy it..

i would, but i own it all already. well, except for the gescom, but i
have no minidisc player.

just dont buy farmers manual next :)

why buy new stuff?

i think that track would be on the suzanne brokesche release on disco b.
