for those interested in slightly easier-to-find house/trance comps, i would highly recommend terry francis' architecture (progressive house, as far as i can tell), and several global underground comps, like seb fontaine, oakey's, and danny teneglia. the latter especially - some great deep-ass nyc house. the sasha/digweed northern exposure comps are classics as well, imho, especially the eastcoast edition. i don't know how "intelligent" i would call these, but i certainly enjoy listening to them in my bedroom. isn't that sorta what is meant by "idm" - dance music for which you don't need a dancefloor to enjoy? by the way, i heard the new global underground sasha comp (ibiza) will include a remix of orbital's nothing left. could be interesting. certainly there are some orbitalheads on this list? later, nub
