my AMT-8 is still soldiering along fine here... somewhere along the
line it lost patch mode, but i think that's because newer operating
systems always make MIDI interfaces think there is a client active.

there is even a 3rd party configurator for patches now, but usually i
just run the MIDI Patchbay application for anything that i need
without the DAW up.
