Lots of acid burbles and breakbeat fuckery. I dig it cos _Big Loada_ is on of my fave Tom records. Awesome. Squarepusher is done screwing with us. Big Loada also has (in my estimation) his best track: A Journey to Needham (7 AM Mix). Or was it Reedham? I forget. The Ko-Wreck is getting a release on Chocolate in the US and Warp are releasing it elsewhere. Its kind of stunted hip-hop with some (obviously) great scratching by Craze (Kraze?). Very good but highlight for me is the Plaid remix which they've been playing in all their recent live sets and its a corker of a track. Why are people excited about this? Has Push Button Objects done anything to warrant excitement, ever? All the PBO 12"s are seriously lackluster, that one on Skam is downright bad. If you want to hear good hip-hop, check out Kool Keith or Mantronix. If you want to hear skratching get one of ISP's many, many CD's. Q-Bert and MMM are better than anybody else at it. Anybody checked the Warp box sets vinyl? Is the vinyl out? The "Influences" looks pretty strong. B.
