trip hop is, and always has been, the music of tricky, massive attack, and portishead.
maybe hooverphonic, morcheeba.  usually vox over smooth synth textures and scratches,
with a jazzy feel and pop-oriented approach.  hard to decribe.  it's a bristol thing, i
think.

i've heard of porno for pyros described as trip hop.  except for the trip part, that's a
lie.
