Though it is only Tangentially IDM, there is a Erasure cover comp out there on CD (there is a web page somewhere) that has a soundcard-made track on it by the Cheap Bastards that is just an amazingly careful composition of tuned samples. It has all of the polyphonic parts and everything and was assembled by one of the Cheap Bastards while he sat in front of a pc for his tech-supp-phone-receptionist job! Pretty impressive, of course, he had the composition issue taken care of for him already via doing a cover of a previous track. xxxxxxxx@xxxxxx.xxx <------+
