I tried to translate aless' last paragraph into Queen's English and failed:

Now let me get this straight, aless:

It's "dead funny" that people 6,000 miles away dance differently from people
in London? Viva la difference ...

It's "dead funny" that we wear shorts here? (In case you need a refresher
course, it's a WEE bit warmer here in the SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA DESERT than it
is back in ol' Blighty, usually. Not to mention the fact that the Viper
Room, where Grooverider and Fabio spun, is a small, hot sweat pit venue.)

And Lord knows what "towelling socks" are ... (terry cloth???)

Don't get me wrong, aless, I get a kick out of your (obviously enthusiastic)
reviews. But if there's a joke here I just don't get it. Maybe because I'm
a nice polite towelling-sock-and-shorts-wearing strange-dancing LA'er. :D

(And if we're going to slag clothing, my GOD what got into Photek and J. Majik?
Now listen here boys, this English unpressed black suits look has just GOT to
go. And Rupert, your shoes are the biggest fashion monstrosity this side of
Jimmy Page's "Song Remains The Same" black and white flats. Get sorted!)
