What is > it, where can I get it and, well, anything else you want to tell me > would be appreciated (expense, complexity, results, etc.) Thx. fast tracker 2.06 has a free stereo diskwrite in it. that will definitely suffice for diskwriting .xm's, and will be ok for .mod's (not all, mind you). impulsetracker 2.14 has a free mono diskwriter in it (which will play .it and .s3m if not fully, at least properly), but you'll have to pay for the actual stereo diskwriter (mainly because the author believed that stereo diskwriting is mostly for commercial projects anyway, and thus it wouldn't do to give it out free). you can bypass this limitation with a few ways. either you grab modplugplayer (which will play 95% of the effects right most of the time), try out winamp (which will play 75% of the effects wrong all of the time) or sneak a warez version of the stereo diskwriter. fast tracker 2.06, impulsetracker 2.14 and modplugplayer are easily available thru http://www.maz-sound.com (ft2 and it2 from trackers, of course, and modplugplayer from the players-menu) http://www.modplug.com is the actual homepage tho.
