Just for your interest, If you like FSOL you are very likely to like the releases by the Melbourne group Soma, which I find the closest Australian stuff (if not from anywhere) to FSOL I know... May be difficult to find outside of Australia but they're released on the eXtreme label and also I think get released in Germany, so have a look. Cinematic, lots of influences, *lots* of weird samples and imagery. Also, the stuff on the em:t label, those CDs in digipaks (cardboard covers...) with strange colourful animals looking out of them, is very like the ambient FSOL type stuff. The US label Instinct puts out some of their stuff in the US I believe (I'm in Australia, so we get *both* types of import, from UK and US) and released a great 2CD compilation called em:t explorer... Just my $0.02. I entirely agree with the other people's assessment of FSOL's releases by the way.
