That's right:

how do YOU like your
...........NOODLES...........
?

perhaps somes of yous remember a short disscussion a bit back about
noodler Simon Begg's new[dles] label. Well, it was a very short
discussion (i think kf said a word about it and that was that). Never
brought up again.

Well, I went to the record peddler today and glanced in the bins. There
I saw, sticking out from the mess of records, the word noodles and
,printed underneath, "The stupidest recording orginization in the
world"...
At the time I had forgotten all about Mr. Beggs label, but I examined the
cover further as soon i saw the excellent motto ;-)

Noodles
presents
THE DEATH OF COOL

i looked down at the list of featured artists and, at first, saw two
unrecognizable names:
Zygmunt Janowski
Navario Sauro

then i got to simon begg and it hit me.

anyway... to get to the point of this super-long dragged out post.

The record i now hold in my hands is a wonderful work of insanity!!
while all of you had your heads stuck between a needle and musik aus
strom (yours truely included), you guys let this lovely double vinyl slip
through the surface.
Although i was expecting a 'fungle'/'drill n' bass' comp, I got MUCH more
than I bargined for.
listen and learn:

the tracks (with very brief descriptions, as i never inteded this to be a
review):
Zygmunt Jarowski: Intro (the death of cool)
intro with lots of bable about the death of cool (from those mac
                electronic voices, no less);-)
Navario Saruo & Si Begg: Unkown Dialect
high pitched wailing over odd beats, beeps, and jazzy bits
Mr. Mahoney: English Cubase
just some guy talking for like thirty senconds over a deep bass
                guitar
Sand: Desperate
        vunderful jazz
[FLIP]
The Wee DJ's: Monky
noise, noise, and more noise gradually becoming ambient
Anal Parade: Ansaphone
gotta love the name; gotta love the track
Barry Pseudonym: Hi Pitch Acid
What? Who the hell is this guy? (aftaW fO ydraH;-)
The Mutual Friend: I have Failed
'??? had to escape, i have failed' that is all.

[TOSS]
The Wee DJ's: How was it for you?
        more audio muckings by weewees
Si Begg: Brothers and Sisters
"brothers and sisters" sung in gospel harmoney under "drill n'
bass" ;-( to me for using that word. Mr. Begg should have swapped
this with his spunk
        jazz track
Barry Pseduonom: Hetroskadasity
        tribal dr*ll n' b*ss
Mr. Mahoney: Harmonica Storm
another brief appearence by this mahoney guy. not really
harmonicas, i don't think.
The Hibicus Geronimo III players: Boiled Grease Feet
        um... what just happend?
Barry Pseudonym: Pissed Scratch Break
        my sediments exactly
Barry Pseudonym:Distressing Ambience
        ditto
Si Begg: Sing Circle System
dunno, i think i missed this one.
Van Der Hoogs Country Curative: Circle O.B.S.
Yes the one you've been waiting for: Hoe down with massive reverb
and noise spurts. Yee Haw!! Expect The Unexpected
Mr. Mahoney: The Cucumber Song
Si Begg: Back End
        a sad goodbye.

"underground overground, noodling free"
whatever buy this comp.

m*lt s*nt*, the stupidist idmer in the world.
