+1 on these comments. I have been enjoying pairing the Peak with an = Infinite Response Vax77 controller that sends Poly Aftertouch and = getting some wonderful CS-80-like PolyAT brass and related sounds. The = PolyAT implementation is just =E2=80=9CAftertouch=E2=80=9D in the mod = matrix and treats channel and poly AT the same from a programming = perspective. I haven=E2=80=99t had a chance to play with the FM implementation. I = wasn=E2=80=99t terribly impressed with all of the wavetables but I = wasn=E2=80=99t looking for a Solaris replacement. I=E2=80=99ll be bringing my Peak to the AHNE/Boston Modular New England = Winter Synth Fest this Saturday if someone wants to try it out. The late 2018 update = made it much better than it had been on release, but it still doesn't = sound quite correct to my ears when compared to vintage Yamaha FM = instruments, creating an FM stack with more than one modulator causes a = weird trait where the pitch seems to never quite settle down. The = 1.2 OS update was certainly an improvement, but it's still no Blofeld in = that respect. >=20 >=20 > On Wed, 27 Feb 2019 at 15:12, Seth Elgart <xxxxxxxxxxxxx@xxxxx.xxx> = wrote: > I'm considering getting a Novation Peak and was wondering if folks = love them/hate them/whatever them.
