(idm) the scoop on the matmos/piano magic split 7"

Yes, it's a 7" and it should be out soon. It's coming out on the Lissy's
label, an indie rock label run by this guy Jamie who works at the Rough
Trade shop in London. They've put out Stereolab, Royal Trux, Arab Strap,
the Azusa Plane, Sea and Cake, and now . . . us. That makes a lot of sense,
doesn't it? The test pressings sounded good- don't know what the art will
be (he does it all). The track is made from samples of that RS-55 machine
that Jay soldered together and is called "The Soldering Social". For what
it's worth, it's a pretty IDM-riffic tune, very bleepy and Mouse on
Mars-esque (perhaps) and ending with a locked groove too (but gnarly  and
not synched particularly).
