Detroit flavors have been treating my ears right for several
years. Even when my musical tastes change, detroit is a 
sound i always find myself going back to...

But the best (and hardest to find) introduction to the transmat
label is a compilation called "Relics." Fourteen tracks from the
classic Transmat catalog all segued by previously unreleased 
"interludes" written & preformed by Carl Craig and Derrick 
May. The artists featured on Relics are Model 500, Suburban
Knight, Mayday, BFC, Rhythim Is Rhythim, Psyche, and
Long Ago (Derrick May). An album of warm, beautiful,
haunting detroit techno at it's finest. Some say "Relics" is 
the "holy grail" of detroit techno releases along with two
other detroit techno compilations: Virtual Sex and Panic
In Detroit.
