(idm) Dos Tracks :)

I just picked up the latest Atom Heart offering on Rather Interesting.

My initial impression is that Dos Tracks :) is a more dry, discrete kind of sound than on any of the other RI releases I've heard. I'll admit I was rather surprised, as it reminds me a lot more of Mego and other "mainstream" (heehee) digital manipulation than I would expect from Atom Heart. As with Mego stuff (and in line with his own comments on them!) I find it all a bit technical, more like exercises than music with any feeling.

I am gonna stick at it, because I've only recently got into RI releases in general, but this is the first time I've picked one up and not been immediately blown away. Anyone else have any comments?

Oh yeah, I did hear that album of covers (Pop Artificiele?) which was loads of fun, but not really the kind of thing I would shell out for.
