(idm) HELP ME!! I'm going to London!

Ok, I know, I know. How many of these threads must we endure? If you
have no interest in travel in the UK, then please ignore this.

I myself have not been satisfied with just the few bits and pieces of
info on hyperreal and the rephlex site as far as where to go in London.

I'm going on a university trip from Texas and hope to make this an
ultimate IDM vacation. I know there are still a few of you Londoners on
this list (I remember a couple signing off recently) so I really need
your help. I'll be there for a month and a half from early July till mid
August.

Here's what I want to know:

1. Shows: So far, my concert calender only has two shows: one Rephresh
night and one Mu-Ziq concert at "George IV" in Brixton. What might be
some others to check out or is there an Internet site that has this kind
of info?

2. Record Stores: I have a bunch of suggestions on this one, but I want
to hear it straight from the source. A huge list of 30 stores is not
needed. Maybe just a couple of the best ones for finding rare cds and
vinyl.

3. Clubs: What clubs would you suggest for either IDM stuff or strictly
for dancing?

4. Record Labels: I know this may sound strange, but I thought it might
be interesting to actually visit the Warp office in Sheffield. Does
anyone know if there's anything there? Only reason I ask is cause once I
dropped by the Nettwerk Records office in Vancouver while visiting family
and they gave me the red carpet treatment since I was a visitor. I got
hooked up with some out of print singles and a rare Skinny Puppy tour
poster. I'm not sure if they're that friendly at Warp, but I figure it's
worth a shot. Maybe Ninja Tune or Rephlex even?

5. Publications: Is there some sort of weekly publication you can pick up
to find out what sorts of events are happening in London? If so, what's
the name of it?

6. Clothing Stores: What are some of the best ones? (I'm thinking along
the lines of the X-Large store) The main thing I'm looking for is a good
record bag.

7. Miscellaneous: If you know of any other spots such as pubs,
restaurants, etc that may be interesting, please fill me in. Also,
Richard D. James' bank might be a good laugh to pass by if you know the
address (that is if it even exists).

Lastly, if any of you on this list live in Houston and would like me to
pick you up something while I'm in London, e-mail me privately and we'll
set something up.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you guys could provide. I want to
make the most of this trip and I figure this would be a good place to get
some leads.
