Well I have to say, that I don't think the London scene is all that bad.
I've lived in America for two years now, but even being that out of touch I
know of four events in the past couple of weeks that I would have gone to if
I'd been home. Namely, the Ninja's new night - "YesMate", the Rephlex night
on friday, and I believe Sprawl have just posted their current activities.
Also Raya at the ICA and Triology apparently seriously mix it up. Now if I
can know about all this from Massachusetts, then any Londoners complaining
just aren't trying hard enough! And if you're into other dance styles
there's any number of places playing funk, latin, hip hop, jazz etc. The
majority of the scene, like America, like anywhere, may be house and techno,
but a little effort to seek out the margins will pay off I'm sure.
