Have you seen metasynth? Being a PC user, I didn't spot it straight away,
but I think it's pretty damn likely. For anyone who's been making music
utitlising the amount of production/composition nous Autechre have for as
long they have, it would be very simple.

Anyway, my comment about it sounding like buggering about with sound
editing software was really a criticism of how soulless or distant (not in
a good way :) I think these moments are.
it sounds

But they stick "the mess" at the end of some tracks...

Anyway, I'm heading into rant mode. It's just a tiny peeve about an album
I enjoy a lot more than I was expecting to, having very much disliked
'Chiastic Slide', 'Cichli Suite', and pretty much anything else post 'Tri
Repetae'.

And if anyone misreads that as "I wish they were still doing stuff like
'Tri Repetae'" I'll shoot them. :)
