That comp for K7 did little for me. > Sorry ishemic folx (is that the right spelling?) is fucking GREAT! all around. i cannot, for the life of me, figure out the general idm backlash against this one. its a very odd, bleepy, crunchy gem! i was talking to my friend brian. he mentioned he didnt like autechre at all. i played him a bunch of stuff, including chiastic slide, which everyone claims ischemic folx is a rip off of.. he was not impressed with any of that. then i threw on some of the ischemic folx stuff, and he loved it! he will most likely be at the show on monday :) i just thought it was interesting. maybe its because hes not listening with jaded idm ears? funkstorung have really had nothing new out aside from additional productions, which is all their remixes of other people. i happen to LIKE the collection much more than their self produced stuff, which i tend to find boring and tired. they should, however, put on a good performance. and if not, i will enjoy lexaunculpt, phoenecia (who is soul oddity for those that do not know), s. walker, and the dj set from j "i <heart> gilly" bondy! now you kids play nice! fyi, j will be spinning on kuci tonight from 10:30-midnight. see you all at the show on monday! the el rey is a GREAT venue. chris.
