Hi IDMers, I used to be a list member years ago. I doubt anyone remembers me. I'm a San Franciscan who is currently transplanted in San Diego (not that anyone cares). Well, unfortunately, I've never found any San Diegans who share my passion for obscure electronic music. I'm sure they are out there and I can't say I've been looking very hard. So I'm about to _FINALLY_ graduate from college and I have a job and some money to spend. (woo woo! aint that a change!) Anyway, I'm tired of pestering my good friend (who's and IDMer herself) about who's who and what's what, so here I am to ask you (ahem) kind souls. PLEASE don't take any of my words as a flame and I apologize for any repeat threads. I'd be a good list member and dig through the archives if there were any available, but as there aren't, here I go... I am a HUGE Detroit techno fan and I really like the electro stuff coming out of motor city. Lately I've been digging around for that harder to find electro stuff. I have found Ersatz Audio's web site and picked up a good portion of it from Record Time. So, I have a few electro specific questions. Can anyone provide me with some info about: Ultradyne (discography please) Electrecord (where in US to find/order) Interdimentional Transmissions (where in US to find/order) Vmax Records (discography please) Krok (discography please) Soul Oddity and Schematic Records (discography please) what on Sabotage is electro besides the Electro Juice comp and the Le Car release? I guess that's good for now. If anyone can recommend any other releases along these lines, I'd really appreciate it. My biggest problem is that I do not know what to look for when I find some label which carries this kind of stuff. With the Interdimentional Transmissions releases, I missed out on a few of their releases in the middle and now that Seventh City has dropped their distribution... Just so I don't get some repeat info I already know, I have an excellent knowledge of material Submerge carries like Direct Beat and Drexciya, etc. I am also familiar with the Discography Engine pages in Holland, so there's no need to post or mail me the URL. As far as I know I have all the Gescom releases (on Clear and Skam, etc.) and for that matter I have almost all of the early Clear records and Skam records. I do not, however, have any Music Aus Strom releases, but I think they aren't electro (not that I'm discriminating against non-electro and I plan to pick up the MAS stuff, I have just been on an electro kick lately). Thanks for any help and info. Again if any of this info is a repeat for the list, please mail it to me in private so as not to upset the list hard-liners! P.S. Is it me or should Clear drop this whole "we wanted to create a label to house electro because nobody else was" nonsense. Out of something like 40 releases they have all of around 3 or 4 electro records! Don't get me wrong I LOVE the stuff Clear puts out, but I just think the big electro stink they make is much hype and little product. -robot
