>other goooood jf releases: part one's prelude to cycle 6, anything by Andre >Gurov (Vadim himself). if you want someone to tape ussr rep, make sure its >the uk edition. the north american version has like half the samples >(copyright etc.) Is this so? Bother, perhaps someone could assist me in finding the UK edition (how might one discern it from the US edition anyway?) As for the Gurov recommendation, the 2 albums are good...but not nearly as "abstract" or interesting as his work as "DJ Vadim". More straight beats and cuts, lacks a bit of the oddness that made me enjoy _USSR Repetoire_ so much. Also in response to the original question searching for a Jazz Fudge compilation: There is _Organized Sound_ which is ok, or even better is _Sculptured and Broken Sound_ which was compiled by JF and features many Jazz Fudge and Soup Disc artists. Much better compilation than _OS_ in my opinion. (BTW--The new Ruff Neck Piano is supposed to feature some good remixes, including one by DJ Vadim. Haven't heard it yet, but hopefully it'll show up in tomorrow's mail.) --- Peace Hugs and Unity, Jason J.
