Nope, whoever wrote the Wire piece got it wrong. Probably got confused by the fact that there's a Phonecia remix on Mandell's "Midwest" CDEP, recently released on Lunky Kitchen in an insanely limited edition (300 copies, I think). Too bad it's so limited, 'cause it's fucking great, some of the best American IDM I've heard.
