not to condone such writing (i think it's mostly trash as well) but a)
these writers are more or less paid for what they can pull out off their
ass & b) i wouldn't take a weekly rag seriously in the first place, at
least not when it comes to reviewing music.

kind of a shame when there's so many talented writers around, but that
seems to be the way it goes in the journalism world.  fortunately for
us, there's grooves, forcefield, urban sounds, feedback monitor, motion,
& countless others which make up for the mainstreamed crap.  it's just
that you have to find them.
