: Serious question: Is this just lame flame-bait from a random AOL account? : : Do you honestly believe that more than a handful of people outside of the : list know who Autechre are or what IDM stands for? : : If we don't represent ourselves, who will? um, isn't this list less/around 1000 members? i've met LOTS of people who have no idea what the idm list is (or even have a computer for that matter!) but love squarepusher, autechre and aphex. i highly doubt that nothing would be releasing this stuff in the US if it was mainly for the idm list. do you seriously believe that, like warp thinks that they are really just working with nothing as some favor to the idm? amoaba records alone had at least 100 copies of the first nothing squarepusher. i about pissed myself when i saw that many copies. no way that one store was carrying THAT many of a cd mostly for idm listmembers... there were listening stations for both squarepusher and autechre nothing releases at a store here even...
