To add to the debate regarding Simon Reynolds, purpose of music, et al.. I completely understand the absolute importance of finding out the role of music in culture, especially when music and/or aspects of music permeate your life everyday...but perhaps there is a tad too much overanalysis...I love to sit around and think about the ethnomusicological aspects of club culture, the predominant role of new musics, and whatnot, and I think it's completely valid...but also, almost more than anything else, I LOOVVEE to sit with my headphones on, living in the silly world of music... and honestly, it's just one person's opinion. It's important that you follow your heart and mind when it's comes to what you listen to, what you think about it, and whatnot...whether it's Monolake, the Kinks, or Kenny Rogers... ok ok enough dogma! don't let yer meat loaf... gcbv _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
