The text version of the Octave One interview is now up in the Cognition Audioworks features section. Whereas the interview that is airing on the current In The Mix show features a 20 minute interview, this text feature uses all of the 60 minute interview and is therefore more in depth: topics: gear, Music Institute, Chez Damier, how "I Believe" ended up on Techno 2: The Next Generation, how Shake was involved, how it was recorded, the reason why it was repressed on 430 West and not Transmat, the early days including what *didn't* get released, their sound, new projects. Also bits on how 430 West got its name, Random Noise Generation, Wildplanet, Aux 88, Direct Beat, a full Octave One discography, and other things. Reminder: the deadline for getting your entry in to win a copy of Octave One's "The Collective" is next Wednesday. The contest answer is also in the text version if you don't have RealAudio access and still wanted to enter the contest. Thanks.
