It's all >incredible. Andrew

will there be solosolenoid tracks on diskono or just the stuff from his
office products project (which were on the 7")??

and yes, solenoid is the man.. i got a tape several months back and i never
got around to ranting to the list about it... so solenoid- consider yerself
ranted about!
where i can i get this emanate comp, btw?

>Jowonio Productions (SSR, Subconscious Geography)

jowonio on SSR, as in SSR the label that does the freezone comps?!?!
weird... i knew he had a cd out (soon?) on twin tub and beaver... but this
is rather unexpected!

11 Markants have been released (#s 1, 4-13) in very limited numbers
(between 100 and 300, SUPPOSEDLY- but i've got a feeling that this isn't so
with recent releases...). #13 also was released in very limited picture
disc format. Charges $20 a pop for LPs with only five or six tracks and the
sleeves disenegrate in your hand. all music skamish, but more ambient,
wank that makes you say 'wow i gotta go out and get the rest of the series'
and then you come home and realize you've spent $200 on completely
derivitive rubbish.

Third Eye Foundation was Matt Elliot & Debbie Manning.. but recently debbie
left to work on her solo project foehn (which is pertty bland to me... but
whatever). So now it's just matt, who regularly works with the bristol
space rock type bands as well (AMP, flying saucer attack, movietone...
which also usually sound pretty bland to me as well) but everything under
the 3ef name is essential, with most of it being noise lo-fi guitar
feedback mixed with breakbeats, but the two most recent releases are (you
guys... and sound of violence) disgustingly clean, and much more 'electronic'

here's a partial discography::

Third Eye Foundation: Semtex CD(Linda's Strange Vacation LSD02)
Third Eye Foundation: Semtex 12" (Domino Series 500)
Third Eye Foundation: In Versions CD (Linda's Strange Vacation LSD04)
AMP/Third Eye Foundation (+Saddar Baazar): Ombres (Enraptured,RAPT 4503)
Third Eye Foundation: Universal Cooler 7" (planet PUNK 015)
Third Eye Foundation: Ghost CD (Domino/Merge MRG119)
Third Eye Foundation/KS Kollective Split 7" (Obsessive Eye Magazine 01)
Third Eye Foundation: The Sound Of Violence CDEP/12" (Domino/Merge)
Third Eye Foundation / Foehn / ?? / ?? Split 7" (Wurlitzer Jukebox)
Third Eye Foundation/Vvm Split 12" (Fat Cat FC006)
Third Eye Foundation: You Guys Kill Me CD (Domino/Merge)

Remixes for bowery electric, mogwai, spleen, thurston moore, hood, etc...

i'm surprised no one here's mentioned the new CD 'you guys kill me'...
effin brilliant- i'd go as far as saying that it's his best work yet.
takes the rythmic integrity of his earlier stuff with the production
quality of 'sound of violence' (but it doens't have any of that bland drill
n bass shit) BUT i have to admit that I miss the distorted guitar feedback
days of yore, i hope matt hasn't pawned his four track off just yet! i'll
try and give it a full review soon.

btw, does anyone know anything about a spilt 7" (12"?) between matmos and
piano magic .. i thought saw it listed somewhere (or was i hallucinating?)

btw2, and i got the new fakesh too, but i didn't give it a spin yet... but
can anyone tell me why the hell it lists tDR as designers, when the design
is virtually the same as the previous 'demons' has MAS just entirely sold
their soul to the republic?

np: (you guessed it) third eye foundation: 'in bristol with a pistol'

Mmmmm,,\
